If there is one thing, I know for sure, it’s dressing my body. If you have a visible belly line (VBL) like I do you are probably aware that no matter how good the shapewear is- our stomachs will not magically disappear. There is no reason to feel as if we should hide it. If you want to flaunt it, do it! If you feel like camouflaging it, do it! All that matters is you do what makes YOU feel good.

Having a VBL may require a little more effort in some of the styles we want to wear, but it’s worth it. The best tip I can give you is to learn yourself and your body. Regardless of your body type, learn what makes you feel confident, comfortable, and sexy. Dress for your individual body and authentic style.

Ten Tips For Dressing VBL’s

-Tailoring

-Shapewear

-Posture (good posture will take you further than you may think)

-Proper fitting bra (helps define the waist)

-Quality fabric

-Pleating (I love a good pleat in the tummy area)

-High waisted fitted pants (holds those love handles in perfectly)

-Boxy/loose crop tops (think symmetry)

-Know your angles (this will come in handy for photo op’s)

-Experiment, Experiment, Experiment

“Detachment isn’t the same as indifference. When you let go, you aren’t saying ‘I don’t care what happens.’ You say, ‘I am open to whatever happens, and when it comes I will know the next step to take.’ The art of desire can be found in a single verse- ‘perform action without regard for the fruits of action.’ This is detachment and joy in one, because whatever happens you will always be centered in your true self.

Having your desire at the level of the true self and then releasing it, is the key. Being centered in your true self, you experience a quiet, relaxed state of confidence. The ability to manifest what you desire allows you to let go so that your intention can enter the field of pure potentiality. From there, the energy of attraction naturally flows with ease and harmony.

Manifestation is not the same as wishful thinking; action is still required to manifest the life we want, but we don’t need to loose our silent center in the process. The silent center guides us into the things we need to do, weeding out the unnecessary busy work and struggle.”

-Deepak Chopra

I am a huge fan of Deepak Chopra and Oprah’s 21 day meditation guides. As much as I love fashion and all the materialistic things that come with it, I am just as much in love with growing spiritually.

Meditation can help you become a more compassionate, loving, healthier, wiser, peaceful, and joyful person. If you wonder what your life purpose is, or have a desire to be more confident, healthier and happier, I invite you to try meditating. Start off by taking out five minutes every day to see how you like it. Let me know what you think.

Do you meditate if so do you have any tips for beginners?
